Dr. Jennifer Culbertson

Dr. Jennifer Mendoza-Culbertson is the Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Chief Administrator for Internal Affairs. A native from San Juan, Texas, she has served her community in various capacities for over 30 years. Prior to her transition into Hidalgo County, she worked in higher education and public schools. She was employed with the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District as the Director of Robert Vela T-STEM Early College High School, Financial Aid Officer, Communication Instructor, Dual Enrollment Instructor, and Assistant Principal. She also worked at the University of Texas-Pan American’s Career Placement Services Office and the Recruitment and Orientation Orientation Office. She was a South Texas College instructor in various departments. Dr. Mendoza-Culbertson received her undergraduate degree in Communication and master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She earned her doctoral degree in Leadership from The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley In 2018. She has served on several education and professional boards and committees, presented her doctoral research at national conferences, and volunteers with various government and non-profit organizations locally, regionally, and across the nation.
